The San Salvatore Foundation was founded by public act of October 4th, 1979.
From Article 2 of the statute of the Foundation:
“The Foundation’s mission is the following: to award researchers, preferably resident in Switzerland, who attain positive results in research in the treatment of malignant tumors. Secondarily, scientific research projects may also be financed.”
